Dr. Mina Youhanna, President of the Global Conscience Organization for Human Rights, expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of the distinguished Egyptian artist Suleiman Eid, who passed away last Friday morning at the age of 64 after suffering a sudden health crisis that required his transfer to the hospital. Attempts to save him were unsuccessful.
In a touching message on his personal Facebook account, Dr. Mina Youhanna offered his condolences, saying, “With deep sadness and sorrow, I offer my sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the distinguished artist Suleiman Eid. We ask God to have mercy on him, forgive him, and grant him Paradise. The late artist was born on October 17, 1961. He began his artistic career in the late 1980s, but it really took off with his remarkable role in the 1992 film “Terrorism and Kebab,” alongside Adel Emam. This experience marked his entry into the hearts of audiences.
Throughout his career, Suleiman Eid established himself as one of Egypt’s most prominent comedy stars, appearing in more than 150 works across cinema, television drama, and theater. His most notable works include “Birds of Darkness,” “Sleeping in Honey,” and “Hamam in Amsterdam,” in addition to his distinguished roles in numerous TV series and plays.
The late artist was known for his lightheartedness and strong on-screen presence, leaving a distinct mark in every work he participated in. With his passing, Suleiman Eid leaves a huge void in the artistic community and a rich legacy of works that will live on in the hearts of Arab audiences.
