Under the patronage of Dr. Mina Youhanna, President of the Global Conscience Organization for Human Rights, Ambassador Dr. Houria Al-Sahli, Director of the organization’s branch in the Kingdom of Spain, participated in the Algerian Couscous Festival, which was held on April 11 and 12, 2025, organized and sponsored by the Algerian Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts.
The festival witnessed a large turnout of culinary enthusiasts and heritage lovers, in a cultural event that combined the rich flavors of Algerian cuisine with the details of deep-rooted popular heritage, transforming the event into a vibrant space for interaction between peoples and cultures.
Dr. Mina Youhanna emphasized that participating in this event embodies the organization’s vision of supporting cultural activities that enhance national identity, noting that the Algerian Couscous Festival is not limited to presenting traditional dishes only, but rather carries a sublime civilizational message that expresses the richness and diversity of Algerian heritage. He added that integrating culinary arts with folklore and popular arts contributes to promoting cultural tourism and reflects a positive image of Algeria regionally and internationally. He emphasized that the organization strongly supports such initiatives that build bridges of rapprochement between peoples and highlight shared cultural values.
