Official Statement by Dr. Mina Yohana
President of the Global Conscience Organization for Human Rights
âWhat is happening today in Nigeria is not a passing crisis â it is a humanitarian catastrophe unfolding before the eyes of a silent world.
Innocent civilians are being murdered, kidnapped, and displaced; villages are burned to the ground, and children are trapped between fear, hunger, and death, while the global community watches in silence as if human life no longer holds any value.
I hold the international community fully accountable, morally and humanely, for its inaction. I call upon the United Nations, the African Union, and all nations claiming to defend human rights to take immediate and decisive action to stop this humanitarian disaster â to protect civilians, send independent investigation missions, and bring the perpetrators of these atrocities to justice.
Continuing this silence is nothing less than a form of complicity in the crime and a betrayal of every principle of justice and human conscience.
On behalf of the Global Conscience Organization for Human Rights, I declare our full solidarity with the people of Nigeria. The human conscience cannot and must not remain silent in the face of bloodshed â for every life lost there is a wound in the heart of humanity itself.â
