🟦 Dr. Mina Yohana Participates in the Arab-Asian Annual Conference on Biotechnology at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina

In a prestigious international scientific gathering, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina hosted the Arab-Asian Annual Conference on Biotechnology (AABC 2025) under the theme “Desert Biotechnology and Life Sustainability in Arid Regions.”
The conference brought together distinguished scientists, public figures, and university professors from over 15 Arab and Asian countries.
Dr. Mina Yohana, President of the World Organization of the Global Conscience for Human Rights, participated in the conference, emphasizing in his address that scientific research is a cornerstone of sustainable development and a key to promoting environmental justice and human dignity.
He stressed the importance of international cooperation in advancing humanitarian and societal causes through science and innovation.
The conference was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Acting Minister of Environment, and featured the participation of leading academic and scientific figures, including:
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina;
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Sakr, Former President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology and President of the Conference;
Prof. Dr. Balu Ridhana, CEO of the Federation of Asian Biotechnology Associations (FABA) – India;
Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Maawad, President of the National Research Centre – Egypt;
Prof. Dr. Adel Abdel-Azim, President of the Agricultural Research Center;
Prof. Dr. Tamer Samir, President of Benha University;
Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University – Jordan;
alongside Prof. Dr. Nabila Abdel-Maqsoud, Secretary General of the Arab Society for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ASGEB), and a host of renowned academic leaders.
Dr. Mina Yohana expressed his sincere appreciation to Prof. Dr. Nabila Abdel-Maqsoud for her exceptional efforts in organizing and supervising the event, commending the outstanding level of coordination and participation.
He reaffirmed that the Bibliotheca Alexandrina remains a beacon of knowledge, science, and global peace.
